Video portraits of children reciting excerpts of the coming-of-age pastoral novel “High Mountains,” written by Zacharias Papantoniou in the 1930s. Used as a grade four primer for the Greek National Education Curriculum for decades, this book is an early environmental classic. Each child has a different relationship with the text. Their video portraits are punctuated by different expressions and gestures.
